Cura 3.6.30 Mac edition not loading

There’s nothing special about the budaschnozzle that won’t work in a profile created in 3.6.x, but the format of the profiles/“machine instances” have changed greatly since then.

Your best action would be to create a new machine in 3.6.37, tell Cura that it’s a Taz 5. The changes between the 4 and 5 aren’t drastic as far as capabilities are concerned. They’re most changes for just generally being “better” but it’s still the same size and doesn’t have the bed leveling that a Taz 6 would have. The biggest changes are mainly centered around the toolhead. Make sure you’re not going over the max temperature of the budaschnozzle (240c), set your nozzle diameter, and if you don’t have a cooling fan on your tool head, filament settings for PLA especially are probably not going to line up well. For those filaments you are using, just compare the print settings on the old Cura with the new and you should be fine.
